Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 7.09 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 3,136.28. A total of 2.4 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 06 billion Singapore dollars (841 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 229 to 204, while 520 others finished unchanged. The STI index up 12.53 points, or 0.40 percent, to close at 3, 129.17 on Thursday.
