Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 6.89 points, or 0.22 percent, to close at 3,147.33. A total of 2.46 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 04 billion Singapore dollars (819 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 219 to 181, while 545 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 2.81 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 3, 140.44 on Thursday.
