Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 5. 71 points, or 0.19 percent, to close at 2960.09. A total of 1.86 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 15 billion Singapore dollars (912 million U.S. dollars). Losers led gainers 235 to 176, while 530 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 25.15 points, or 0.84 percent, to close at 2, 965.80 on Tuesday.
