Singapore stocks finished modestly higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) edging up 1.76 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 3,203.03. A total of 2.42 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 983 million Singapore dollars (793 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 213 to 203, while 537 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 10.19 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 3,201.27 on Friday.
