South Korean stocks closed lower Thursday, lacking an upward momentum to pull up the market as foreign investors dumped shares. The South Korean won fell against the U.S. dollar. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 0.46 percent, or 8.88 points, to 1,926.96. Trading volume was slim at 183.35 million shares, with losers leading gainers 427 to 373.
