South Korean stocks opened lower Friday as institutions offloaded their holdings after five consecutive days of rise, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) moved down 4.28 points, or 0.22 percent, to 1,977.81 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
