South Korean stocks opened higher Tuesday on the back of strong gains in carmakers and shipbuilders, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) moved up 10.92 points, or 0.55 percent, to 1,998.25 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
