Seoul shares ended lower on Monday. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) declined 21.19 points, or 1.09 percent, to close at 1,919.96. Trading volume stood at 226.81 million shares worth 3.9 trillion won (3.6 billion U.S. dollars). The South Korean currency finished at 1,084.5 won against the greenback, down 14.1 won from Wednesday's close. The country's financial market has been closed since last Thursday on the Lunar New Year holiday.
