Seoul shares ended higher on Tuesday. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 4. 59 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 1,965.74. Trading volume stood at 222.3 million shares worth 3.14 trillion won (3 billion U. S. dollars). The South Korean currency finished at 1,051.1 won against the greenback, up 0.4 won from Monday's close.
