Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell back into the red zone, dropping 180.39 points (-1.54%) when the bourse closed trading at 11,531.01 points Wednesday with indices of all sectors declining.
The market capitalisation decreased to QR 624.49 Billion from QR 633.45 Billion registered Tuesday.
The traded value today fell to QR 282.94 Million with a volume of 5,005,671 shares from 3,672 transactions compared to QR 564.85 Million with a volume of 10,325,394 shares from 5,927 transactions registered Tuesday.
Telecoms index plummeted -2.29% to 1,295.78 points. Insurance dropped -2.06% to 4,098.01 points.
Banks and financial services index fell -1.50% (3,122.75 points), industries -1.19% (3,837.64 points), real estate -1.06% (2,370.36 points), consumer goods and services -0.65% (6,863.74 points) and transport -0.53% (2,396.03 points).
QSE's Total Return index fell -1.54% (17,918.28 points), QSE Al Rayan Islamic index fell -0.64% (4,248.96 points) and QSE All Share index -1.33% (3,091.98 points) today.
From the 43 listed companies on QSE, shares of 40 saw trading today. From these 28 went down, 10 gained and two remained unchanged.
