Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend on Tuesday adding 14.20 points (0.13%) to advance to 10,798.69 points from 10,784.49 on Monday. The volume of the shares traded fell to 15,135,635 from 17,021,858 on Monday and the value of shares decreased to QR701,704,290.94 from QR770,414,333.28 Monday. Among the top gainers were Commercial Bank of Qatar which was up 1.51% to QR73.90, Qatar Islamic Bank gained 2.49% to QR74.10, Industries Qatar added 0.76% to QR172.30 and Doha Bank up by 2.44% to QR63.00. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.56 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.73 points. The industrial sector was fell 0.43 points while insurance sector lost 0.98 points.
