The Qatar Exchange was down on Monday 9.22 points or 0.11% to 8,276.74 points from the previous closing of 8,285.96. The volume of shares traded was up to 6,466,793 from 4,148,078 Tuesday, and the value of shares increased to QR 211,471,971.10 from QR 175,737,399.36 Sunday. Among the top losers were Al khalij Commercial Bank whose share dropped 1.47% to QR 16.70, Qatar Navigation lost 1.54 to QR 57.60, Al Kaleej Takaful fell 0.82% to QR42.15 and Doha Bank down 0.53% to QR 55.90 . Among the top gainers were Qatar Insurance which was up 1.43% to QR 71.10, National Leasing rose 1.97% to QR 44.00 and Islamic Insurance gained 1.53% to QR 59.60. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector lost 4.70 points while the Insurance sector gained 17.30 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 3.99 points and the Services sector up 3.70 points.
