Tokyo stocks closed 1.33 percent higher in the morning session of Monday, supported by better-than- expected U.S. jobs data. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 187.67 points from Friday at 14,274.47. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 9.44 points, or 0.80 percent, at 1,185. 86. Gainers were led by communications, chemical and insurance issues while decliners included mining, utilities and air transport firms.
