Nikkei ends slightly lower

Tokyo stocks ended 0.05 percent lower in the morning session of Thursday as investors locked in gains after the Nikkei's five straight winning streak.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 7.23 points, from Wednesday to 14,663.72.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 0.82 point, or 0.07 percent, to 1,198. 99.
Major decliners included real estate, marine transport and nonferrous metals issues.
