The Nikkei index ended at a two- week closing low on Monday due to overnight losses on Wall Street. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average plunged 141.03 points, or 0. 98 percent, to 14,288.23, its lowest finish since April 15. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 9.25 points, or 0.79 percent, at 1, 160.74. Decliners were led by paper and pulp, glass, automaker and shipping issues. The turnover was 1637.1 billion yen (16.03 billion U.S. dollars) . Tokyo stock market will be closed on Tuesday for a national holiday.
