Nikkei closed 0.24 percent lower Tuesday.The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average closed down at 13,192.35, after rising as high as 13,331.39, its highest intra-day level since Aug. 12, 2008. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange ended up 0.30 points, or 0.03 percent, at 1,102.04, the highest level since Sept. 29, 2008.Gainers included mining, oil and nonferrous metal issues while decliners included real estate, consumer finance and banking shares.The turnover was about 3,477.9 billion yen (about 35.08 billion U.S. dollars).
