Shares of Naver Corp., South Korea's top portal operator, were trading near a record high on Friday as the WhatsApp buyout by Facebook Inc. fueled speculation that its free chat messaging service Line would find a strategic partner through a stake buyout. Shares of Naver were quoted at 812,000 won (US$761.5) on the Seoul bourse as of 11:25 a.m., up 2.4 percent from the previous session's close. At one point, it touched a record high of 819,000 won.
