Kuwait crude price went up USD 1.02 reaching USD 102.52 per barrel (pb) on Wednesday compared to USD 101.50 pb the day before, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said Thursday. The KPC noted that the oil price climbed over the increased tension between the West and Russia, one of the world''''s biggest oil producers and the world''''s biggest gas exporters, over Ukraine. The rise also came amid a retreat of exchange rate of dollar, the currency used for pricing oil. It pointed out that the US crude price closed on Wednesday at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) at an average of USD 102.32 pb, the highest in almost a month
