The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will hold the 13th Jacques Polak Annual Research Conference at its headquarters in Washington DC on November 8 and 9. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Labour Markets through the Lens of the Great Recession’. The conference will discuss innovative research and facilitate the exchange of views among researchers and policymakers. Peter Diamond (MIT) will deliver the Mundell-Fleming Lecture, the IMF said. Eminent speakers will speakers will make their presentations on the following topics:- Macro Policies and Inequality; Top Incomes and the Great Recession: Recent Evolutions and Policy Implications; Basic Labour Market Facts; Trade, Productivity and Labour Markets; The Global Labour Market Impact of Emerging Giants: a Quantitative Assessment.
