Grain futures prices were little changed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index down for the second consecutive day. Corn was off 2 3/4 to up 1 1/4, soybeans were unchanged to up 2, wheat was off 1 3/4 to off 2 3/4 and oats were up 1/2 to up 3/4. Corn prices closed slightly lower with Taiwan turning to Brazil for a major corn purchase. Wheat prices fell modestly, as the dollar index dropped 0.28 percent to 79.67 on the International Exchange. Soybeans futures rose slightly as rain in Argentina delayed planting. The prices: Corn: Dec 7.46 1/2 off 2 1/2, Mar 7.52 off 2 3/4, May 7.53 off 1 1/4, Jly 7.48 1/4 up 1 1/4. Soybeans: Jan 14.55 1/2 up 1 3/4, Mar 14.50 1/4 up 2, May 14.28 up 1, Jly 14.16 3/4 unchanged. Wheat: Dec 8.38 1/2 off 3 1/2, Mar 8.56 1/2 off 4 1/4, May 8.65 1/4 off 4, Jly 8.66 1/4 off 2 1/2. Oats: Dec 3.67 1/4 up 1/2, Mar 3.85 up 1/2, May 3.89 3/4 up 3/4, Jly 3.89 1/4 up 3/4.
