Germany's benchmark DAX

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday slipped slightly by 0.08 percent and closed at 9,470.17 points.
"Investors were disoriented. They remained concerned about the global trouble spots. And the specter of deflation is in the air," said the German business daily Handelsblatt.
The chemicals and pharmaceuticals manufacturer Bayer AG increased the most by 0.89 percent. The reinsurance company Munchener Ruck AG followed with a gain of 0.73 percent.
Commerzbank AG, the medical supplier Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. and the electric utilities company RWE AG St were also among the top five risers, up by 0.70 percent, 0.66 percent and 0.61 percent respectively.
Deutsche Lufthansa AG went down by 1.38 percent, topping the fallers' list. Other fallers included the agricultural chemical and salt producer K+S Aktiengesellschaft, Henkel AG & Co. KGaA Vz, BMW AG St and the Volkswagen AG Vz, down by 0.94 percent, 0.81 percent, 0.76 percent and 0.70 percent respectively.
The turnover was 2.64 billion euros (around 3.48 billion U.S. dollars).
