The French stock market index CAC 40 performed poorly on Wednesday, with a decrease of 148.53 index points, closing at 3939.72 index points, down 3.63 percent.
All of the 40 selected companies experienced decreases, among which Alcatel-Lucent lost most and decreased 6.3 percent.
