Europe\'s main stock markets slid at the start of trading on Monday, with Frankfurt\'s DAX 30 shedding 0.37 percent in value to stand at 7,205.05 points. London\'s FTSE 100 index of top companies was down 0.21 percent to 5,794.43 points while in Paris the CAC 40 dropped 0.50 percent to 3,418.60 points.
