Europe's main stock markets finished the day mixed on Friday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index slipping 0.30 percent to 6,740.58 points.
The CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.46 percent to close at 5,010.46 points, while Frankfurt's DAX 30 index rose 0.87 percent to a new record close of 11,901.61 points.
