The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) continued its upward trend for the fifth consecutive session at the close of Sunday's trading backed by purchases of Egyptian investors. The market capital gained 2.6 billion pounds to reach 454.4 billion pounds on Sunday. The EGX 30 main benchmark index was up 0.42 percent to close at 7,436.22 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.95 percent, reaching 590.20 points.
