At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 78.54-58 yen compared with 78.58-68 yen in New York and 78.64-65 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro fetched 1.2510-2513 dollar and 98.26-27 yen against 1. 2501-2511 dollar and 98.27-37 yen in New York and 1.2550-2551 dollar and 98.69-73 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
