Chinese equity markets

China's equity markets have delivered their best monthly performance since December 2012.
Improved market sentiment lifted the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index by 7.48 percent in July after it shot up 0.93 percent on Thursday to close above the key mark of 2,200 points. The Shenzhen Component Index jumped 1.32 percent to close at 7,956.91 points, sealing an 8.36-percent increase this month.
The sharp rallies for the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets in July meant it was their best month since December 2012.
The Shanghai index closed on Thursday at its highest level this year.
