Australian dollar

The Australian dollar on Friday followed a rise on Wall Street after recovering from a fall following the U.S. central bank meeting.
At 7 a.m. local time, the Aussie was trading at 88.32 U.S. cents, up from 87.65 U.S. cents Thursday.
The Australian dollar fell more than one U.S. cent Thursday after the Federal Open Market Committee declared confidence in the U.S. economy, which sets the scene for an increase in interest rates next year.
