Benchmark of Amman Stock Exchange ended the past week trading with a slip of 8.4 points as the daily average of volume of trading decreased by 9.7 percent compared to the previous week. Benchmark for the week closing dropped to 2,017.5 points, compared with 2, 025.9 points of the week before, a decrease of 0.42 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector dropped 0.61 percent, the services decreased 0.33 percent, and the industries rose 0.3 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 11.1 million, compared with USD 12.2 million the week before; with a drop of 9.7 percent. Overall volume of trades of the week stood at some USD 55 million, in contrast with USD 61.4 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 49.6 million, done through 20,191 deals. As to sectors\' contributions in volume of trade, financial sector came first, 65.3 percent of the overall trade, followed by services, 21.6 percent, and lastly the industries, 13.1 percent. Comparing prices of closing of trading companies, amounting to 177, with previous closing, stock price of 65 ones rose and those of 72 others dropped.
