Egypt's workers

Head of the general syndicate for textile workers Abdel Fattah Ibrahim stressed that Egypt's workers reject calls for staging protests on January 25.

Ibrahim, who is also the deputy chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, said the Egyptian workers were well aware of the chaos plots the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group seeks to achieve through these calls, along with its endeavor to destabilize the country's institutions and impede the democratic process, to be completed by convening of the House of Representatives this month.

Meantime, he urged the government to pay more attention to the textile industry, which was subjected to conspiracy from import businessmen and some ministries in the former governments.

Ibrahim highlighted the importance of the textile industry as a field that could directly or indirectly create thousands of job opportunities for youths.

He urged tackling some incorrect policies and planting new kinds of cottons that is suitable to the market needs, in addition to imposing tariffs on imported clothes that harm such national industry.
