Ssangyong Motor Co. said Friday its sales in April moved up 8.1 percent on-year, propped up by consumer demand for its popular Korando family of rugged off-road capable vehicles. The carmaker's total sales hit 13,634 units last month compared with 12,607 vehicles sold a year earlier. Domestic sales reached 6,010 units, a 17.5 percent increase from the same one-month period in 2013. Exports were tallied at 7,624 vehicles, a 6.9 percent gain from the fourth month of last year.
