Meraas Holding on Wednesday named Raed Al Nuaimi as chief leisure and entertainment officer. In his role, he will be responsible for translating Meraas’ strategic vision for Dubai by overseeing the development of leisure projects and drawing up an annual entertainment calendar for tourists and residents alike. He will also be mandated to lead discussions with global sector operators, industry experts and intellectual property owners. The appointment follows the announcement of the 30-million square feet multi-themed park project at Jebel Ali. Holding has been mandated to oversee the development of this project. Air Arabia starts daily Karachi flights Air Arabia announced on Wednesday the expansion of services to Karachi in Pakistan. The four weekly flights from Sharjah to Karachi are now increased to daily flights, making it easier and more convenient for passengers travelling between both cities. Daily roundtrip flights will now operate between Sharjah and Karachi, departing Sharjah International Airport at 23:00 and arriving in Karachi International Airport at 01:50 (next day). The return flights depart Karachi on the same day at 02:30 and arrive in Sharjah at 03:45. “We are extremely pleased to announce the expansion of services to Karachi in Pakistan,” said Adel Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia. “Since launching operations to Pakistan, it has always been a market of focus for us, and the launch of additional services is a result of increasing customer demand from the market. Xpress Money free services to Palestine Xpress Money announced a free remittance drive to Palestine from the Middle East, expressing its solidarity with the people of Palestine suffering from the Gaza  strife. Entrepreneurs Forum at RAK exhibition The Entrepreneurs Forum in Dubai shall participate in the SMEs products exhibition which will take place in Ras Al Khaimah on the sidelines of the first gathering of the UAE Business Entrepreneurs which is accommodated by RAK Emirate and organised by Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Programme for Youth Projects Support.
