Kia Motors Corp., an affiliate of South Korea's top carmaker Hyundai Motor Co., said Saturday it aims to raise sales in China by 9.7 percent this year, despite fierce competition with Japanese rivals amid a weakening yen. Kia's China venture, Dongfeng Yueda Kia, is targeting annual sales of 600,000 vehicles this year, compared with 546,766 vehicles sold last year, the company said in a statement.
