South Korea's top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. and its smaller affiliate Kia Motors Corp. retained their top spot in the Russian auto market for the third consecutive month in August, despite a market slump sparked by Moscow's confrontation with the West over Ukraine, a report showed Sunday.
Hyundai and Kia sold a combined 27,000 vehicles in Russia last month for a market share of 15.7 percent, according to the report by a think tank run by Hyundai Motor Group, the parent of the two carmakers.
