etisalat, the UAE’s largest telecom operator, said on Thursday its full-year net profits dropped sharply after recognising impairment charges related to the suspension of its Indian subsidiary. The company posted a full-year net profit of Dh5.8 billion, down from 7.6 billion in 2010, the company said in a statement to Abu Dhabi’s bourse. Group revenues stood at Dh32.2 billion against 31.9 billion in the year-before period.
