Sales of Chevrolet Spark city cars surpassed the landmark 1 million mark three years after it made its debut under the current nameplate, GM Korea Co., the car's maker, said Friday.
The car, which replaced Daewoo Motors Tico mini and was formerly called the Matiz Creative from 2009 through 2011, is mostly made at the carmaker's Changwon plant 400 kilometers southeast of Seoul, with complete knockdown kits made in South Korea being shipped to India and Uzbekistan for local assembly and sale.
