World's 5th largest container ship transits Suez Canal

The world's fifth largest container ship transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday with a total cargo of 216,000 tons.

The container ship Mol was coming from Sri Lanka and heading for the Moroccan port of Tanger-Med in an 11-hour voyage, a source at the Suez Canal Authority told MENA.

The nine-floor vessel is about 400 meters long, 59 meters wide and 15.5 meters deep, he added. (MENA)
