Britain's economy grew by 2.2 percent in 2015, slowing down after 2.9-percent expansion in the previous year, official data showed Thursday.

Gross domestic product expanded by 0.5 percent in the October-December period compared with the previous three months, the Office for National Statistics added in a statement. That met expectations and marked an acceleration from 0.4 percent in the third quarter.
