Among the respectable guests were businessmen, diplomats and members of the Polish community in the UAE.

The UAE Embassy in Warsaw has sponsored a forum on economic, tourism and culture between the UAE and the Republic of Poland.

The forum focused on the theme: 'UAE and Europe', and was jointly organised by the Europe Emirates Group, in a bid to boost relations in economics, tourism and culture.

The forum, held from 17th - 18th May in Warsaw, was also sponsored by the Polish Ministries of Development, Tourism, Agriculture, Sciences, and Higher Education, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Warsaw. The forum was attended by senior officials and representatives of both countries.

Dr. Yousef Eisa Hassan Al Sabri, the UAE Ambassador to Poland, thanked the group for supporting and sponsoring the forum, and the Polish government for its continuous cooperation. He also stressed the enthusiasm of the embassy to expand the friendship between the two countries in all fields.

Further, the UAE envoy referred to the strategic partnership between Poland and the Middle East, citing that Poland has become an attractive tourist hub for GCC tourists, especially Emiratis.

The forum was an excellent platform to discuss prospects for the development of economic cooperation between Poland and the UAE, most importantly, programmes and plans for investment cooperation between the two countries, the role played by investment, innovation and new technologies, as well as technology transfers and sources of financing investments.

The two sides also discussed ways to increase tourism and appropriate incentives, as well as to promote and encourage cooperation in the fields of culture and sports.

At the conclusion of the forum, the organisers hosted a dinner, during which the Innovation Awards for 2016 were distributed to distinctive personalities, companies and institutions in the field of innovation, including Emirates Airline.
