South Korea plans to increase its budget spending in 2015 by 5.7 percent from this year in a bid to help boost the slowing economic recovery, the country's top economic policymaker said Thursday.
This figure is a part of the government's 2015 budget proposal to be submitted to the National Assembly by Sept. 23. The finance ministry is drawing up the spending plan by taking into consideration the requests from each ministry and agency.
