Sharjah Chamber

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, has renewed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, and cooperation with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The MoU was signed at the headquarters of the Sharjah Chamber by Khaled bin Butti Al Hajri, Director-General of the SCCI, and Yu Jianlong, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, CIETAC, from the Chinese side, in the presence of Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business sector, and a number of senior officials from both sides.

The MoU aims to further develop cooperation and exchange of visits between official and business delegations to work on providing more opportunities for trade and investment.

The Memorandum stipulated support for activities to promote trade and investment exercised by each party and to launch initiatives aimed at strengthening the framework of cooperation between the business community of both sides and the exchange of information and data and to provide facilities which encourage businessmen and investors to cooperate with their counterparts at the other party.

The MoU also stipulated the provision of assistance to researchers in the field of economy and trade to supplement the business sector with information that contributes to the development of economic relations between the two countries, cooperation in the field of training, in addition to cooperation in the legal services sector to identify regulations, legislation and economic laws recognised by both sides.
