A giant Danish container ship crossed the Suez Canal on Wednesday en route to Singapore.

Coming from the Netherlands through the Mediterranean, the ship was carrying about 18,270 containers on board, a navigation source at the Suez Canal Authority said. 

He added that the 200,000-ton load ship was anchored at East Port Said harbor for a few hours for refueling.
