The German economy faces a marked slowdown during the second half of 2014 after a strong start to the year, dpa quoted the central bank as saying Monday. "After the extremely strong start to the year, economic growth in Germany is expected to see a noticeable slowdown in the second quarter," the Bundesbank wrote in its April monthly report. This is because demand in Europe's biggest economy for industrial orders has not grown at the same pace as in the first months of the year, the Frankfurt-based bank said.
