CES 2016

Egypt will be taking part in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that will be held in Las Vegas, the US, on January 6-9.

Eight companies from Cairo, Alexandria and Daqahliya will participate in the event, said Khalil Hassan Khalil, a board member of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), Monday.

CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies.

Held in Las Vegas every year, it has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years.

The International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES) showcases more than 3,600 exhibiting companies, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more; a conference program with more than 200 conference sessions and more than 150K attendees from 150 countries.

CES features products from consumer technology markets, such as 3D printing, accessories, audio, automotive electronics, communications infrastructure, computer hardware/software/services and
content creation.

The first CES took place in New York City in June of 1967. Since then, thousands of products have been announced at the yearly show.
