Israeli occupation authorities decided to open the Karam Abu Salem crossing today for the entry of 280 trucks loaded with aids and goods to the Gaza Strip. Head of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods in the Gaza Strip Raed Fattouh said that the trucks will be loaded with aids and goods for commercial and agricultural sectors. The Israeli authorities will also allow the pumping of limited quantities of cooking gas, transportation fuel and industrial diesel for the Gaza's power plant, in addition to quantities of cement, construction iron and gravel for UNRWA projects, he added. They will also allow the export of a truck loaded with strawberries and flowers to Europe. The Karam Abu Salem, the only commercial crossing operating in Gaza for the entry of goods, aids and fuel, is closed by the Israeli authorities every Friday and Saturday.
