The Irrigation Ministry carried out a number of projects in Assiut throughout 2014, Minister Hossam Moghazi said Tuesday.
The projects, worth some 52 million pounds, were meant to upgrade the irrigation system in the Upper Egyptian city, Moghazi said.
A statement by the Irrigation Ministry said Moghazi visited Assiut today as part of his tour of Upper Egyptian cities.
