Housing ministry plans to allocate EGP 425 million for developing slums nationwide, minister Mostafa Madbouli announced on Monday.

The newly announced funds are part of the ministry's plan for fiscal 2015-16, he noted.

Upgrading slums will be synchronized with establishing new communities nationwide, he added.
