President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered the allocation of 500 million pounds to upgrade El Dwiqa slum area, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said on Sunday during a tour of a Cairo district.
The aforementioned funds will be taken from the Tahya Misr (Long Live Egypt) fund, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
He added that the development of the area will be completed within a year.
