In Gaza

A Columbia businessman who visited his native country of Gaza in June is still stuck there, unable to leave because of the fighting there, according to AP.
The State newspaper of Columbia reported that Suhail Najjar traveled to Gaza in June with his wife, Noura, and three of their five children. He planned to get his family settled there for a long stay before he returned to the U.S.
He reached out for help from U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, whose office sent a letter last week to the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem.
Najjar is a naturalized U.S. citizen who owns a luxury car dealership in Columbia. He and his wife moved from Gaza to Columbia more than 20 years ago.
