Minister of Planning Ashraf el-Arabi said that the civil society and the private sector have a main role to play in combating poverty.
Arabi's words came during the inaugural session of a two-day conference on Egypt after the January 25 Revolution which was held in Cairo University.
Combating poverty should be through the adoption of comprehensive and sustainable programs, he said.
